On November 13-19, 2023, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, the second largest opera house in Poland, will host the 3rd Bogdan Paprocki National Vocal Competition. It will be the third edition of a vocal competition in northern Poland of such a high rank - three stages, the final round with an orchestra. Outstanding professional Polish opera singers were invited to join the jury of the competition: Ewa Podleś, Agnieszka Rehlis, Wiesław Ochman, Andrzej Dobber, Mariusz Kwiecień and Magdalena Idzik. The winners will receive high cash prizes - 6 main prizes (three in each category - female and male), as well as honorary mentions. The directors (invited to judge the third stage performances) will fund prizes in the form of participation in opera performances. The Competition program promotes Polish music literature, with particular emphasis on the works of Polish composers.
