In 1827, Franz Schubert composed a song cycle Winter Journey (Winterreise - in German) to the poetry of Wilhelm Müller. In 1994, Stanisław Barańczak published a volume of poems Winter Journey to the music of Franz Schubert. One of the 24 pieces in the volume is a translation of Müller's poem, while the rest are original pieces related to Schubert's cycle.
