A funny story and expressive characters are perfectly reflected in the musical layer and texts of all the spectacular arias in this piece. Such is La serva padrona ("The Maid Turned Mistress") - the famous intermezzo by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, which in the Baroque period sparked a stormy discussion about whether art should be funny.
In our opinion, opera can not only entertain, but also invite the viewer into the very center of the action of the performance. That is why La serva padrona directed by Jerzy Jan Połoński is an innovative performance in the formula of an immersive performance - the instrumental ensemble of the Opera Nova Orchestra will sit in the audience, and the audience will be in the very center of the action, to have the opportunity to interact with the performing artists and the surroundings. Positive impressions are definitely guaranteed from such an interesting rendez-vous with opera.
